Creating Shared Value and Strategic Sustainability – Global Food Company
Description of services provided: Neela worked closely with the client team to develop the vision, strategy and implementation for their regional Sustainability approach.

Neela and her team developed and delivered Sustainability keynote presentations, leadership interactive workshops and Materiality Mapping sessions. These were delivered and cascaded at the annual global conference (attended by 150 senior managers from various functions). The approach was then rolled out through regions (via regional strategies) and local markets. It involved establishing working groups and sustainability champions to support the implementation and embed it into the organisation.
The sessions shaped the materiality approach by asking the following questions:
• What are the material issues (risks/ opportunities)?
• What are the barriers to addressing these issues?
• What actions/ continuous improvements, flagship programmes and key performance indicators are required to address these issues?
Neela’s work is based on building a distinctive sustainable development strategy based on the material issues and ‘global best practice’ strategic advice. Board level and senior management leadership sessions were held to ensure alignment and integration with the business strategy.
